‘Everyone’s care’ is one of the three policies of the 8th popularly elected ‘Gyeonggi 360° care’, and is a welfare policy that provides partial support for care labor costs to all residents in crisis situations.
The basic type provides five services, including living care, accompanying care, residential safety, meal support, and temporary care, while the expanded type supports the basic type plus two additional services, including rehabilitation care and psychological counseling.
Nine cities and counties, including Yongin, Pyeongtaek, Hwaseong, Bucheon, Gwangmyeong, Yangpyeong, Gwacheon, Gapyeong, and Yeoncheon, implement the basic type, and six cities and counties, including Siheung, Icheon, Anseong, Paju, Pocheon, and Namyangju, implement the expanded type.
The project cost is shared in half by the province and city and county.
The cost of service support is less than 1.5 million won per person per year, and depending on your income level, you can receive free support, 50% subsidy, or use it at your own expense.
Residents who wish to do so can visit the administrative welfare center in their town, township or village or apply online through ‘Gyeonggi Civil Service 24’ and receive consultation. You can also inquire through the Gyeonggi-do call center (☎031-120) or the emergency welfare hotline (☎010-4419-7722).
The Administrative Welfare Center that receives a crisis situation will visit the site immediately if it is an emergency situation, and within 72 hours if it is a general situation.
Provincial Welfare Director Heo Seung-beom said, “We will do our best to serve as a stepping stone to resolving the gap in care for residents by supplementing the gaps in the existing care business.”
