How to set up Kakao Talk birthday private
First of all, how to set my birthday to be invisible on Kakaotalk as below and how to set my birthday to be private on Kakaotalk are as follows.
1. Top left friend icon > Top my profile
Select the friend icon at the bottom left, then select the part of my profile at the top.

2. Select the Manage Profile icon at the top right
When you enter the My Profile screen, press the Manage Cogwheel-shaped Profile icon in the upper right corner.

3. Manage Profiles > Disable Birthday Notifications
When the Profile Management screen appears, scroll down to the bottom of the screen and turn off the “Birthday Notifications” part of the advanced settings – Private Kakao Talk Birthday – My birthday notifications on my friends’ list will no longer appear.

In the same way as above, you can set up KakaoTalk birthday private so that my birthday doesn’t appear to my friends. Unfortunately, however, I couldn’t find a function that only allows my family or close acquaintances to see my birthday notification.

Sometimes, if you open Kakao Talk and look at the list of friends, you can see a list of friends whose birthday is today, or in addition, a friend who has revised his or her Kakao Talk profile to update it will be highlighted at the top.
Even in this case, if you are a family member or close friend, it will be helpful to see the notification, contact them, and go to see the newly changed profile,
If you are an acquaintance who is not very close or close to your Kakao Talk friend, it may feel annoying and burdensome to see a Kakao Talk birthday notification itself.
In this case, you can turn off the Kakao Talk friend’s birthday notification and turn off the Kakao Talk friend profile update notification as follows.
1. 하단Select bottom-left friend items > top-right settings > “Friends Care”
Select the Friends item icon on KakaoTalk at the bottom left, and then select the cogwheel-shaped settings icon at the top right. Then, when the pop-up menu appears at the bottom, select “Manage Friends.”

2. Turn Off Birthday Friends View (Turn Off Updated Friends View)
When the friend settings screen appears, scroll down and scroll down the screen to the bottom.
Then, in the “View Friends” section, click the toggle button to the right of the “View Birthday Friends” and “View Updated Friends” sections to turn it off, and the friends whose birthday is your birthday or who changed their profile will no longer be highlighted and displayed in the Friends list.
